D\u00fcsseldorf will become the third German city in Singapore Airlines\u2019 route network next year, when\u00a0 non-stop\u00a0 flights are introduced\u00a0 from\u00a0 Singapore. Flights are to be launched\u00a0 on 21 July 2016\u00a0 using the all-new\u00a0 Airbus A350-900,\u00a0 which\u00a0 will\u00a0 be the latest addition\u00a0 to the Airline\u2019s fleet.<\/p>\n
Subject to regulatory\u00a0 approval, flight SQ338 will depart Singapore on Mondays, Thursdays and\u00a0 Saturdays\u00a0 at 2330hrs\u00a0 (local\u00a0 time).\u00a0 The return\u00a0 sector, operated\u00a0 as flight\u00a0 SQ337, will depart D\u00fcsseldorf on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1130hrs (local time). SIA intends to increase frequency at a later date.<\/p>\n
\u201cFlights\u00a0 to\u00a0 D\u00fcsseldorf\u00a0 will\u00a0 complement our\u00a0 existing\u00a0 services to\u00a0 Europe,\u00a0 and\u00a0 be served\u00a0 by\u00a0 all-new\u00a0 Airbus\u00a0 A350-900s\u00a0 fitted\u00a0 with\u00a0 Singapore\u00a0 Airlines\u2019\u00a0 latest\u00a0 cabin products. With this addition,\u00a0 Singapore Airlines will serve the three largest airports in Germany, including\u00a0 Frankfurt and Munich,\u201d said Singapore Airlines\u2019 Senior Vice President Marketing\u00a0 Planning, Ms Lee Wen Fen.<\/p>\n
D\u00fcsseldorf is the capital of the German state of North\u00a0 Rhine-Westphalia.\u00a0 It is the most populous of the 16 federal states in Germany, bordering\u00a0 Belgium and the Netherlands. In addition\u00a0 to being an international business, manufacturing and financial\u00a0 centre, it is also a leading\u00a0 fashion\u00a0 centre\u00a0 that\u00a0 is well\u00a0 known for\u00a0 trade fairs. With\u00a0 the new flights, Singapore Airlines will\u00a0 serve Germany with\u00a0 38 weekly services. This includes\u00a0 twice-daily\u00a0 flights\u00a0 between\u00a0 Singapore\u00a0 and Frankfurt,\u00a0 daily flights\u00a0 between\u00a0 Frankfurt\u00a0 and\u00a0 New\u00a0 York,\u00a0 daily\u00a0 flights\u00a0 between\u00a0 Singapore\u00a0 and<\/p>\n
Munich, and daily flights between Munich and Manchester.<\/p>\n
Customers will\u00a0 be able to enjoy\u00a0 the Airline\u2019s\u00a0 latest-generation cabin products\u00a0 on the new A350-900 aircraft. This includes all-new Business, Premium Economy and Economy class seats, as well as the world\u2019s most advanced in-flight\u00a0 entertainment system. Ticket sales for the new D\u00fcsseldorf flights will be made available\u00a0 for sale through\u00a0 our various distribution channels on a progressive basis.<\/p>\n
Singapore Airlines has 67 A350-900s\u00a0 on firm order, the first of which\u00a0 is due for delivery early in 2016.<\/p>\n
